National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Saturday, October 28, 2017 is the 14th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The National Prescription Take Back Initiative addresses a health and public safety issue.
According to a National Survey in 2015, 6.4 million Americans abused controlled prescription drugs. Most of abused drugs are obtained from family and friends.

This program was started to provide a responsible, convenient, environmentally safe and anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired medications.
In April 2017, Americans turned in 450 tons of medications at 5,498 collection sites across the nation.

Help stop the opioid epidemic by cleaning out your cabinets of expired and unused medications.
