These issues include: various architectural and infrastructure strategies, HIPAA data access and security issues, training and human resource costs, necessary functional components to give up the traditional paper chart, impact upon workflow procedures and policy, the many options and designs available for clinical documents, “Meaningful Use” requirements for ARRA reimbursement and many practical “dos and don’ts”.

PRE-INSTITUTE
The POWER of Technology Meeting Evidence-Based Practices

Date:

October 22, 2003

Location:

Columbus Marriott Northwest
5605 Blazer Parkway
Dublin, Ohio  43014
(614) 791-1000

Agenda

Flexible management systems coming together with evidence-based practices can yield powerful capacities believed to be non-existent, unavailable or unaffordable within non-profit behavioral health care organizations. This Pre-institute will share the experience of one Ohio provider that selected a flexible management information system; and at the same time chose to involve itself with the internal implementation of several of Ohio's evidence-based practices.

The use of Cluster-Based technology, in combination with MIS flexibility, can lead to real-time information that's immediately applied to clinical processes, utilization management, costing, and quality improvement.

Registration fee is $50 per participant (includes lunch)

Participants who want a "hands on" look at the technology used should plan to stay after the session.  In addition, interested participants are invited to attend an in-depth CATT demonstration early evening with Dr. Dave Shuller.
