Automated Data Bridge Technology
8/21/2005

The HL7 Data Bridge module interface provides CATT with the ability to share data in a realtime and automated way with any other hospital based billing, order entry or clinical front end system that also has either HL7 data interface/exchange capabilities or any data system that is based on a SQL Server backend database manager.  This interface includes user definable configuration tables, extensive security logging with the ability to rewind bridged transactions and restore past information.

The following data interface functions are easy to implement with CATT’s Data Bridge module.  Realtime links with hospital wide registration systems are possibly whereby any demographic or billing information entered or changed in a legacy hospital system would appear within seconds in CATT’s data screens.  Department clinicians would then have complete use of CATT’s clinical desktop front end with service delivery information fed back to the hospital wide AR billing system either a realtime or batch file transfer process.  Conversely, the data bridge will allow almost any other clinical front end to send data to CATT’s AR/MIS billing system.

Other Data Bridge module applications include: Electronic data exchange formats for MACSIS enrollment with the ability to automatically import and update UCI, Rider Code, Panel Assignement and other patient identity information.  Detail and summary GL transaction exporting to industry standard General Ledger systems.  Chart Element “shipping” of referral, intake or termination summary chart documents between multiple agencies within a community consortia.
